Classes offered: World Safari:  Students visit locations around the world to discover and get to know animals who help people or other animals live better in their environment. Along the way we will learn about maps, geography, habitats, and ecosystems. Let’s Take A Field Trip! Each week Pathfinders take a virtual field trip and meet people working all around the city. Students discover how each profession contributes to our community, make connections between ourselves and others, identify tools and skills for each worker, and investigate through hands-on experiences a unique feature of that job. Some of the people we’ll meet are: construction worker, dog trainer, chef, zookeeper, photographer, and firefighter. Class covers several CA Social Science standards.

Classes offered: Sailing Through Stories: ELA/Social Studies focus. Our STS class will introduce students to a variety of writing styles & techniques, including: creative writing & storytelling, expository & opinion writing, poetry, and more! Curious Minds S.T.E.M.: Science/Math focus. Using the scientific method as a framework, we will conduct a variety of experiments to better understand the world around us! We will also collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data using various math tools, including bar graphs, tally charts, and Venn diagrams.
